Synchronicities Are Everywhere. ‘See’ them!

Definition straight from google:  syn·chro·nic·i·ty /ˌsiNGkrəˈnisədē/

  1. the simultaneous occurrence of events which appear significantly related but have no discernible causal connection.

Awakening to an inner spiritual quest left me with burning questions most could not answer. But, how could they? No matter their platform, we are ALL in this together, trying to figure it out at the same time with different minds. Minds made to perfection when clarity sets in. Minds made to awaken; individually or collaboratively to fulfil evolution. Minds made to connect, each using their individual gifts to come together as One. Whether we deem the next person worthy or not isn’t a reflection on them; Everybody has their purpose.

After opening myself to possibilities of all sorts, I realized the best way to serve humanity is through a mindset that teaches, ‘Each one, Reach one.’ In this frame of thought, you grow by sharing a portion of yourself without expecting anything in return. Not one thing! This includes setting expectations on the Self.

We all have amazing unique gifts we are meant to share and sometimes the simplest forms that create ripples are the most powerful changing forces on this planet. Can you imagine that? Spreading love, the way you know how. Giving positive reinforcement when needed, a smile to another when you yourself want to cry, free financial advice to those trying to build, sending healing vibes and showing empathy to those going through difficult times, a helping hand to a stranger, lending an ear for others to vent, cooking nutritious meals for your family, creating art in hopes of changing the world for the better, so forth and so on. Simple, yet brilliant.

At first, I didn’t see these simple abstract forms as a gift because of the expectations I set for myself and allowed others to set upon me. I was not allowing the Universe to show me what I was missing out on, instead going through the motions of searching for something bigger, something grander, something I heard about through the grapevine or saw on TV. Something I’m not sure even existed. Chasing a world your mind creates can leave you feeling exhausted or less than, inviting mental and physical challenges.

Practicing Aparigraha, the last Yama in Yoga, teaches ‘non-attachment’ in several forms and can lead you to a world of possibility, some of which you may have never seen or heard of. One of these forms is letting go of expectations, taking time to smell the roses and live life with an open heart and mind, so that all things, ideas, or people can enter and exit without creating bondage. When this truly happens, you’ll begin to ‘see’ synchronicities everywhere, reaffirming you of your path and divine gifts.

Practicing a life of simplicity by living in the moment does not mean we deprive ourselves of comforts, pleasures and joy, nor does it mean a life of poverty, rather aparigraha free’s us up to be who we were meant to be all along, creating a life of abundance and caring.

Coming across this blog could be synchronicity, or not. Building awareness in all aspects of your life is the key to ‘seeing’ them.
